Matt,
One thing to consider while assembling that excellent kit is what you
will be putting the board in and a suitable heatsink and fan.
The heatsink can bridge all 3 L298's so it's a good idea to wait until
the heatsink is ready before soldering the L298's.
My cabinet is nothing more than 2 rectangular panels spaced apart with
corner rails that carry the board. A plate forward of the board, also
on the rails, carries the power supply. Perforated side covers are also
screwed to the rails. A pic is available.
