Yes Bridgett is now running on EMC. Currently I am running the X and Y
axis at 120 ipm using 60 VDC on 90 VDC motors with G320 drives. If I
remember correctly I have 10000 steps per inch so at 120 ipm EMC is
having no problem with 20000 steps per second. I have used EMC on
another machine at about 28000 steps per second. So, the answer from my
experience is that the step limit people talk about are not true and as
far as I am concerned 120 ipm is plenty fast for my work. If I wanted to
go faster I am sure that EMC would not be the limitation.
The only software I know of that has a pretty low pulse rate restriction
is Master 5 with a limit of about 8000 steps per second.
