Be sure when constructing your power supply, to put a small bulb or resistor
across the terminals of the cap as soon as possible, to dissipate any charge
left in thier when you turn off the power, (I use a panel light on the front
of the case, as a power on indicator for this pupose).
I accidentally discharged the cap into a newly constructed board and caused
no end of problems,(didn't I Paul)
