RE: [CAD_CAM_EDM_DRO] Dolphin pricing, was Re: Software

Heres what I know,

Since there are no US distributors signed up, I have been dealing direct
with the folks at Dolphin.

I sent the folks at Dolphin $50 U.S. via Paypal towards my purchase. They
shipped me a package with CD, training guide, and key floppy.

This $50 is good towards the purchase of the product ($400 for hobbyists)

While I plan to stay with Dolphin, the $50 was a tiny investment given the
support I have received.

I tried to evaluate other software and the most I could get was a versions
old copy to download with just the first handful of pages from the user's
manual. <gripe on> I could not even get a table of contents out of some
vendors!!! All I wanted was to see what else I would get if I purchased
the full product.<gripe off>

With Dolphin, I received the entire product and a color training manual.

The only challenge I have had learning so far has been my own lack of
understanding of some of the concepts. Many CAD/CAM products assume that
you know what you want to do. In my case, as a newbie, I often did not
know. No trouble as the email support has been patient and responsive.


This is not to put down any other product as there are many excellent ones.
Just my $.02 to share from my experience.
