Thanks Bubba;
I think I'm on the right track and with the help of this group, it
should be quite benificial (and even fun). I received some info on
my servos (which I purchased on ebay) and was quite disappointed (I
think). The servos are obsolete and are electro-craft model e586's.
I have 5 of them. The dwawing I received from the factory list them
as "servo tachs" and have a built in tachometer. The specs on the
servo is 30V DC with a no load speed of 5700 RPM. The no load
current at rated voltage is .65 amps. Armiture resistance (dynamic)
is 1.00 ohms min to 1.25 ohms max when checked at 4 amps. Is this
enough information to figure out the torque of these things??? If
they won't push the mill, maybe I'll build a router later with them.
I'm looking forward to your spread sheet and hope to learn from it.
I just downloaded the information from Gecko on power supplys so my
next project will be to source the parts. Any recommendations from
the baord. I'd much rather purchase from a group member and keep the
money at home!
Thanks in advance.
billyjack.
