These parameters are a program called CAM. This program stands
between the Cad design function and the controller. Cad-Cam-Controller

DeskCNC has integrated Cam and Controller within a single software
program.

File-Open a DXF from your Cad program, select what you want to cut
(all or any parts), create contours with a variety of offsets, or
pocketing, or drilling, by filling in a simple dialog with depth of
cut, depth per pass, tool size and geometry (it handles flat, ball,
bull and V tipped cutters), feeds and speeds,etc, the CNC program is
created and the toolpaths are displayed on the screen.

Click the machining button, the program is saved and is ready to run
in machining mode.

DeskCNC costs $350 and includes an external controller board that
mounts in your driver enclosure and connects to the serial port. The
board has screw terminals to connect the step and direction lines on
your drivers, and spindle/coolant relay control lines, spindle
direction and speed, limit and home switches, e-stop, feed-hold, and
probe/tool setter. It runs on most any 32 bit Windows computer.
