Have you considered the difficulties you will have with flushing for
this operation?
Wire EDM is a great process, but it can be a real bear when you are trying
to cut parts of varying thickness.
(like the cross section of a round bar, or honeycomb materials etc etc etc.)
Your advice regarding a quote from a commercial outfit is very sound in this
regard.
Not a job for the faint of heart!!
