Hello,
Larkens motion and CVV is EXCELLENT. And NO, it is NOT a knockoff! It
is the multi-year work in progress of one man; Larry Kenny. (although
it stabilised some time ago and he has put more time into corollary
programs to create toolpaths to "feed" it.)
Biggest down side really isn't for tose who, as you say, jusr Draw,
and cut parts" is that everything must be run through the CAD part to
convert to the "native" unseen code. Import SEEMS widel ranging, but
the gcode import is only G0,G1,G2,G3. Pretty sparse.
But for those looking for something that just plain WORKS (especially
for wood and sign and plastic fab stuff), IMO, it is hard to beat.
Again, this is not a 100 buck solution; but fairly priced.
Hope this helps.
