I'm still tryin' to figure out the "speech writer" thing............
Do you find me a bit wordy ?
Plotters. Shhhhh ! I have been watching E-bay for the right one. Amazing to
see little HP's going for 9 bucks !
I am also confused on the "genetics".... ( I must be off wack tonight)
HPGL files were not too bad IF you could always send them as 1000 plotter
units to its destination. (Indexer let you do whatever you wanted in this
regard) The "standard" of 1016 made files real hard to understand. Otherwise
they are pretty simple.
Most Engraver companies developed hpgl "extensions" to do 3d work. The
problem is I do not think anyone ever made a "standardized" version.
Otherwise Indexer could have taken a pot shot at adding them to the hpgl
interface. I have a way to view the hpgl layout of probably a hundred or more
hpgl machines if you ever need to see a particular..... though the way things
go, the one you want I will not have access to !
Luberth.... I have not been there in a while. He at one time was pushing his
porn site.... (or someone forced it on him via hijacking) is that still there
??
It might be interesting to see if their work includes 3d application to hpgl
code.
I would like to know how hpgl was able to make such a stronghold in the
engraver/vinyl cutter market. G-code is so much better of an option.
