How about a couple of quadrature inputs? I think they may come in
handy for reading things like a positioning knob. If these
were added then it would be handy for the software to make the
data available over the serial port. Maybe emulate the US Digital
7266 chip as far as registers and such go.

Also would the software be capable of doing linear interpolation
on two of the axis while simultaneously doing circular interpolation
on the other two? Would be good for thread milling and such.
