Close but "no cigar" ! (It's ok, as smoking is bad for you anyhow.)

Take a look at the link that was just shared with the group this morning:

Notice in the top image, a large "crank wheel". This wheel is turned in the
direction you want the machine to move. You must first select which axis is
going to be driven by it as well as the "distance" you want it to travel per
notch (increment). Most have a distinct "notch" feeling as you turn, So, If
you have selected to have the machine move .001" per notch of the handwheel,
rest assured, that's what it moved when you advanced the big crank one notch.

For much larger machines to get where you are going, you may need to have a
setting of .5" per notch or more.

Does it all make better sense now ??
