I'm not sure on the G2x0 series but on the servo controlers
G3x0 the multiplier board also allows you to reference the
step and direction opto-isolators from either common ground
or common +5VDC from the computer. It's my understanding that
referencing from common +5VDC is better but using common ground
means you don't have to run +5 from the computer to the drives.
