I agree, some parts of this business is just womens work. :" )

I looked at using a self winding roll to be uded to keep the chips
away but that was a flat top and would actually hold the small chips
until it would pass some sort of angle to let them fall.

My chips are cold, so plastic or rubber would work but I did not like
the cost of the rubber bellows. I tried to find some from a TV Dish
style linear actuator, nice length, but they seem to range around
$20.00 a foot for the stuff.

I opted for what I had on hand and may still switch to an inverted V
for the simplicity and also access.
