Most likely it is the difference in definition of the term amplitude. My
definition is the height above the zero point that the sine wave attains,
and your definition is the difference in height between the highest point
and the lowest point of the wave. If you want a 1.0 value for the full wave
height difference then you need A=0.5 for the amplitude.

Let me know if this gets the right value.
