Bill,
I have a Foredom Model HM, 1/4 HP Bench style with built-in speed
control in the base. According to the specs, you can dial in the speeds up
to 20,000 RPM, but at low speeds, there isn't a great amount of torque.
There are several different hanpieces available. You can find them at
www.foredom.com , and on a lot of woodcarving and jewelry supply web sites.
