Yes, it has a long horizon lookahead, and will run programs of unlimited
length. It has several
different schemes of lookahead and acceleration profiles that can be set
up, if you don't mind
digging into the code a bit. The default is look ahead with linear
acceleration, and as soon as the
deceleration would begin for the current move, the acceleration of the
next move is interpolated
in. EMC can handle at least 20 blocks a second on a 100 MHz Pentium
classic, and a lot more
on a faster machine. People on this list have reported running programs
over 1 MB on EMC.
