Hello,
I use 1/16 on up. For "full face" cuts in 1/2 plate, I like a 1/4
spiral up, from onsrud cutter. 1/2 shank. Keeps speeds high, cuts
light (the "secret" to successful cnc anyway, IMO.) Parabolic bits
are also nice (elliptical flute). Go to Onsrud, or Hartlauer,(and
there are others equally well suited) and get the "right" bits for
ROUTING aluminum, not endmills... You're not using a mill, after
all...
