Yes, definitely, if you can cut all the way through, then the chip recutting
problem is solved. But, that won't work with 1/2" stock, except on large
machines that have the stiffness and power to do it in one pass.

I drill PC boards on my Bridgeport with a 24,000 RPM air bearing
spindle motor. Does a NICE job of it. I don't do this real often, as I
have no shields on my ballscrews.
