Hi,
How about a pump and a filter from an aquarium, for example a pump head with an open filter? Most of the pumps are suitable for salt water tanks, which means ceramic stainless parts, i.e. they can take a lot of shit. ;-)
I have a bunch of Hagen Aquaclear heads, thay're adjustable from almost nothing to 1600litres/hour (400gallons) and can raise the water at least a meter and a half. They are not expensive and runs constantly for decades.
