As Jon mentioned, putting a pulley in the lathe can be as simple as
locating the teeth on the lathe jaws to get as close to true as
possible.
In my case, I am using 20 teeth and 60 teeth, so if I need o use
Jon's idea of taking a larger piece of metal and turning the OD and
ID to get a collar, I could use that to hold the pulley and then bore
it.
I have taken all plastic and cut out the bore, leaving enough of the
plastic web for a screw, and made my own hubs. If's one of those
things where you can save $1.50 by an hour or so of labor. Not bad
considdering how many of us work for pennies.....
