Brady,
I have done my Boss6 BP with a new 16amp 70V DC powersupply from
www.transformertechnology.com for the motors. I used a 110v AC from
the back box to power the Campbell board and coolant pump. I don't
know if your powersupply will be reliable. Mine had the caps burn
up. I also used a new 24v DC supply to power the solenoids for
spindle speed and brake. The steppers are working great for me now
that I have everything hooked up correctly. I did replace them but
the old ones can do a fine job wired in half-winding mode. That is
the trickiest part of this retrofit. The new Gecko 202s should make
that part less expensive as I had to replace about 6 of them until I
figured out the problem.
I have the wiring diagrams and could copy the relevant charts or -
We could talk on the phone with me looking at the wiring diagrams
and my machine with you looking at your machine with a voltage
tester to figure this out. If you want to use the existing
powersupply and it is not reliable, you may regret it. Others here
may be able to tell you how to figure out if yours is good or not.
