I am going to take the Servo plunge soon on my BOSS 4 and the only thing
I can think to keep so far is the hardware itself. The machine runs
now and everything seems to work OK, but for reliability reasons I
would like new limit switches and e-stop switch. Not going to take
any chances with motors that are going to be much more powerful than
the ones on it now. Everything on the machine is 25 years old.
Even your stock steppers will produce about twice the torque with
the Gecko drives. Wouldn't want a limit switch to fail.
