this might be a little late now -but:
The ROD 450 is a current sin wave device
It has a line count from 50 to 5000 (will say on the name plate)
12000 max rpm and 5v power supply
The easiest way to use it its to buy and EXE style interpolator off ebay
I have bought 3 as of late-about $50 apiece
I bought EXE600 EXE602B and EXE602E boxes
All of these ones multiplies the signals by 5 but you can get ones that multiply by 1,5,10,50,250 etc
Must be EXE not IBV. IBV is for voltage signals
Mine came with wires out one side chassis connector on the other. They come other ways etc. I can give other info or sent copy of Heidenhains catalog if wanted. Hope this helps. Chris Morley
