Hi John,
It is entirely dependant on the software connected to the end of the MPG. You
program the software to whatever step you like. It is quite common to have
selectable steps of 0.001", 0.01" and 0.1"
In Mach there are a number of modes, including "Velocity" mode. The software
ignores the number of clicks, but calculates a velocity based on the speed the
MPG is rotated.
People are using this to do "Fly by Wire" milling and turning.
