Cool, so I don't have to disappoint you in saying that glass cutting doesn't
quite work like the movies (where they cut a circle in a window, and knock
it out).

So have you had the machine moving?

You need some sort of CAD program, like AutoCad, then you need to convert
that to G-Code for Mach3 to use. Isn't there a guide on the Mach3 website?
(I don't use Mach3, I use TurboCNC to control my machines)

Scribing a line is fairly easy, it's the same as drawing with a pen. Move
to correct X/Y, bring Z down, move about, bring Z back up, and repeat. It's
usually called 2D work, as the z-axis just needs to up & down.

If you're talking about using a wheel cutter and getting it to turn, then
that's a bit of work. That will be your fourth axis, and reading up on
vinyl cutters (and the software they use) will be helpful. 'Tangential
knive' is another term you can search on. You might need to build it
yourself, it's not exactly a common item.

If you use a diamond cutter, you don't have that hassle.

Tony
