The problem is the large stresses in most glass, and its brittle
nature. I really
don't think there is any hope of doing this, at least at normal temperature.
It might be possible to mill glass at, say, 500 F or so, where it gets a
bit soft.

I did a project for a friend that involved making Vee grooves in glass.
These were
straight grooves, so we tilted the head of the Bridgeport, and used a
diamond
wheel that we had dressed to a square edge. We had to use a LOT of water
to keep the glass from cracking, and feed at a terribly slow rate.
Something like
1 IPM.
