Re: Backlash

I get the same amount of backlash if I turn the pully by hand. I get
the same amount of backlash if I turn the ballscrew saft by hand. The
motor/belt/pulley have noting to do with it. Believe me, I have worked
on this for almost a year. I think you might be correct about getting
a new ballscrew and nut. I was given another suggestion from someone I
would like to try first, and that is removing the table and saddle,
turning it upside down and installing the ballscrews. This way I can
measure the yoke and ballnut.

Another thing left to try it so install oversize balls in the ballnut
as the manufacturer says this is one way they preload the ballnut to
take up backlash.
