OK.. so moisture is not the issue, keys getting stuck because of chips.... well you could modify a better keyboard like the
Keytronics which uses individual keys and mill away the key cap skirt for each key. then simply use compressed air to blow away any
crap that collects.
The "real" Keytronics KB101 is built on a metal frame with individual key switches for each key,
and each switch has a rubber sealing cap under the key cap. That will stop dust and chips (but not water or coffee !) getting to the
electronics, by milling away the skirts of each keycap you should be able to create a larger enough clearance to allow chips to fall
through and no block the key action. That same clearance will assist in blowing out the chips.
I disassemble my KB101 about once a year and wash the key caps etc.
Why did I say "real" Keytronics, well the KB101 and similar cost about $75-100 and they also make the cheap version, which cannot be
disassembled. It's easy to identify them, the real KB101 has about 12-14 screws holding it together, the cheap version has none.
