Well, I'm thinking about adding a keyboard/indicator module to the set
of boards
I'm designing for the parallel port replacement for the Servo-to-Go
card. The
advantage(s) of this would be a permanent connection between EMC and
the keyboard, where the current connection is only there when the
Xwindows
focus is on the EMC screen window. There could also be knobs for feed
override and spindle speed, instead of keys. You could have buttons
arranged by function, color coded, and labeled with their function.

And, you could use sealed key switches if you want to.
