This is more along the lines I was looking for more than a sealed
board
I run one Ahha system, shortly to become two. As these use standard
keyboards I am faced with the fact that all the commands are on
normal keys. It would be nice to have a dedicated keyboard so that
things like Z+ and Z- are on maked and logically laid out keys
instead of Page Up and Page down.
I have found some of these sealed tactile 4 x 3 and 4 x 4 self
adhesive keypads that can be used as jog keys but they have header
pin connections. Following through on Tim goldsteins idea of using a
scrap keyboard to use the chip I stripped one and mapped it out but
it's impossible to use these headed tactile pads as you cannot
configure the keys to how you want. Tims idea is a god one if you
wire the key pads in seperately.
I have previously mentioned the programmable keypads from
http://www.ymouse.com If I can get this back off my wife I will lay
it out for the Ahha and report on this..
