Folks,
At this point I will tell of my experience with a loose wire.

My machine was having an intermittent problem sometimes it would run for a week or more. 
When it acted up it was terrible! Loud noises and oscillations.

I managed to finally see the sparking of the wire in the connector as it acted up.
A loose wire on the plug going to the stepper.

All my drivers are Keling, and what should have probably destroyed the driver did not.


I'm a very satisfied customer. You get what you pay for.

Indeed, It's all very well being careful about how you connect and disconnect but if a wire breaks, I want to repair the wire, not the stepper board. Good design makes things robust against accidental failure as well as user error.
