I have one of Peter Homans MODIO devices. With suitable connections that
should also work for the print head.

The problem is that once you start using COTS the price starts to climb
compared to the REPRAP style.

MACH3 $150
Stepper Driver $75
Stepper Motor $35
MODIO
Heated Extrusion head with drive connections for above motor. $100
Whatever other bits and pieces it starts to come close to the stand alone
type that look like tinker toys.

And then the slicing software is still needed. I believe my AlibreCAM
from MecSoft can do this. I'll have to ask.
