The doc file is a plain ascii text file

You made the mistake of getting a mac. Dos has been a defacto standard for
quite a few years. It made Bill billions. Yes the newer OS are OK but they
don't run HSM the machines very well thru the parallel port. Most of the low
cost programs require DOS and there are problems if you try running DOS CNC
problems in windows 3.1, 95 or 98.
Everyone has DOS. Don't you?
