Check your cable for broken or shorted wires. If that isn't it, check the
cable
inside the computer case (if it is built that way) to make sure it is making a
good
connection. If those don't do it, then you probably have a bad bit on the
parallel port. It is obviously not the motors. But, what cable did you swap,
the
drive -- motor cable, or the computer -- drive cable?
