Hi Al, Joe,

Yes, that's a pretty good reason! I hadn't heard of 3.3v I/O's! How
about getting a 5V I/O? Or perhaps a parallel port buffer, if that's
the problem. Still, the +5V supplied to the Gecko (common) need to be
driven from POWER, not just stealing voltage from a parallel port line,
like a dongle! The G201A's want to SINK current.

If 3.5V works, and 3.3V doesn't, does that mean you've got LESS then
about 0.2V of noise immunity?? These low voltages don't give the noise
immunity that a good 4.5V signal swing will give, IMO.
