I'm sorry....
I did not realize yet another inexpensive option for you to learn from.
HobbyCNC has a "kit" that is inexpensive as well, in fact a couple of them.

These are some smaller motors than the other option so figure out what you
really want to accomplish with them first.

Looks like a nice little kit.

Boy, I wish I had time to make that Stepper controlled Toy Crane I have
dreamt about since I was a kid !
