This is not a good idea. It is best to have exactly one place where the
main DC motor supply is grounded. If you connect to chassis ground
at several locations, you can have "ground loops" where high currents
may be taking "short cuts" through the ground pin on the power plugs.
If you disconnect a plug, or unplug a cable somewhere, it can start
forcing current through the computer, for instance, causing a lot of
mayhem.
