power supply

Hi, everyone,
I'm building a 1m X 1m gantry for laser cutting, I'm using linear
guides from SBC for the y axis and fully suported round rails and
bearins for the X axis.
Transmition comes from 1" X 1" per turn ballscrews and a 4 to 1
drive belt system,encoders 400ppr(I've got most of it for free)top
speed should be about 350"/min.
Servo drives are on the way from Rutex.
I've got two engel servo motors rated at 52V,2.2 amps,3000 rpm and I
belive it's 17 amps max. I'll need a P.S to drive them, couls
someone enlight me on how many amps d I need on the P.S?
or the voltage and amps on the transformer?
or do any coments on how the P.S should be built.
Any help is welcome.
I've being following the power supply posts and I'm getting
confused, if the motors i have are rated at 52v and 2.2 amps than I
need a transformer with (52+1.4)/1.414=37v and 114 VA(52*2.2)
Now I can get a bigger transformer let's say 228 VA and the power
supply will be putting out more than 52v to the motors, is it ok?
should I get a bigger transformer or stay with the 114VA?
