We use a bunch of mechanical encoders in our production. Want to use
that for an example? 18 steps/revolution and a push-switch in the
shaft. Two quadrature outputs, one double change per detent.
Not expensive. Bounce < 5msec, phase difference at 1 rotation/sec

is guaranteed "off", B is undefined.
