Marcus,

It's not the most important thing in the world, you are right.
I was saying almost all "pro" CNC jog dials have 100 detents.
You could have more, or less if that is all you could find.
It's true that as long as it "clicks" once for each increment, you
will be ok.
My point was more along the issue of increments being in 10's and the
wheel being detented in a factor of 10 for ease of calculations.
However, if you could find something with an increment of 100, then
it's nice because you know one turn equals 1 inch...etc.
