Hey, I saw the thing in their newspaper circular, and just "had to have

Do you mean allthread from the hardware store, or something else? We
just had a new hardware store open up in town...

I'd like to see some pics of your converted vise, and especially some
closeups of the relevant parts in the conversion. Tell me, from your
experience, if this is a reasonable approach. Casting a nut from JBWeld
epoxy, within the acme threaded nut. If I don't clean the oil off
first, it may even become a removable component that I could keep in
place with a set screw! Fully reversible...always the best way to do
any modifications.
