This is why they use a wax based release agent for the cast in place nut
and slide materials. The wax fills the minute voids and also builds up
the surface so that you have a little bit of clearance between the cast
epoxy part and the screw. Good information on the Philly resin website
about how to do this.

As far as making the epoxy more slippery, the Philly resin casting
compound for this application has a fair amount of graphite mixed right
in. They also recommend cutting oil grooves and using oil so I am not
sure where the advise to not use graphite and oil together came from.
