Re: DYNA 2400 SOFTWARE

I recieved the backup batteries from DyanMechtronics today and
installed them. It made no apparent diffrent to the operation of
Line Execute mode. I did find out from Dyna that a newer firmware
level was available so I orderd it. Not cheap at $150. The checksum
of the version I had was 15fc and the latest for it is 4859. We'll
see if it makes a difference.

I have posted DynaComm Version 1.1 in the files section. This
verison includes an editing window for the CNC program and a few
other cosmetic improvements. The Line execute is still disabled due
to my 2400 not working properly with it. Once again, you must have
the .NET frame work installed to run this program which is a free
download from windowsupdate.com

I also found out these Dyna controllers will run in a 'Block execute
mode' which downloads untill a SKIP TO 900 is encounterd and then
waits for the next block of code to be downloaded. There does not
appear to be any handshaking between blocks so you have to wait and
then manually download the next block.

Has anyone out there actually ran one of these in line execute mode
correctly?
