I got the new eproms in today from Dyna and installed them. The
download section of the user interface is much diffrent. There is
now no choice for Line Execute. It goes something like (option -
answer), Upload - No, Download - Yes, Program Execute - Yes, Then
the display reads Load Block. If you choose No to Program execute
you onlty have the choice of program download. The tech support guy
at Dyna emailed me back and said he would fax some documentation.
One the subject of replacing the controller. I noticed the other
day that the Dyna Controller talks to the distibution board via a
serial link. There are also a 4-5 select lines and a program select
line. Makes me wonder of a PC could take the place of the
controller. I think the Distribution board and the stepper drivers
are probably OK for the size of machine it is.
Oh, I also found out today that Visual Studio will make an
installation package for your program. As soon as I get it figured
out how to include the .net framework in the installation I'll
repost the program.
