Kim, you may also want to look into a Kwik Switch adapter or spindle.
I often see 200 size spindles on ebay for Bridgeport machines and
they go for cheap. I also see the R8 to 200 size adapters if you
don't mind giving up a little Z axis.
There are plenty of Kwik Switch holders on eBay as well. If you can
fit the 300 size they go for cheap. The 200 size is in demand and go
for more. I have a 200 size spindle on my machine and I like it. More
