It depends on the orifice size of tip you use, the air
pressure used, the speed of the cut, the Amperage setting,
the material being cut, and the thickness thereof. My ESAB
uses two different sizes of tips, and can crank out up to
60 amps continuously... 7/8" mild steel. I can cut 14 ga
hrs at about 150 I.P.M., and 3/16" at about 40 I.P.M. I
could probably get 25% better speeds if/when I CNC it.
