That's why.

We can all just buy a Haas mill, but we are interested in actually
making the machines.

The home-brew air drier that I had mentined would need tubing
diameter for the UP running (and probably the last few down turns of
the down spiral) to be sized to have an air velocity of less than
1,000 feet per minute at full flow.
