You would be correct.

But, I think the ratings Mariss puts out are at the levels they are
for a multitude or reasons. And hte general idea would be the same
for both drives.

IIRC, Mariss had also mentioned the reason for 10x microstepping and
not 8 or 12 or 16.

The drivers are actually engeneered to be what they are and not there
by compromise.
