The only inrush information i could find was for "Incandescent
miniature and subminiature lamps" as follows.

"At low on/off frequencies, inrush currents shorten lamp life. Inrush
currents in lamps operating at room temperature can be as high as 12
times normal operating current and can last 20 to 40 msec."

I am not sure how this scales up to a 120v bulb but i would think the
inrush would be less because of thinner filiments. The duration of
the inrush i think would be similer possably slightly faster.


Also i looked at geckos paper on a motor returning energy back to the
power supply. With a worst case test, it shows it can take up to .8
seconds for the energy to dissipate. BTW .8 seconds = 800 msec.
