when mariss made his post it made me laugh a lot!
he is able to casually toss in all E-LEADscrew POWER
with some lines of code even tho he thinks it probably
won't be useful. this is cuz once you have things
under logical control it's just that trivial.

lol - the other day i took a part to the machine shop.
there are old guys there who explicitly state that
they have NO interest in CNC. just to be an ass, i
showed one of em a 100 tooth gear blank i cut with cnc
mill. the actual coding took a few minutes as i did
double check the toolpath. for a manual machine to
attempt such a trivial task, obviously, would take the
old guy all day just to locate enuff coordinates to
make it even resemble a circle...then to jog around
100 radial teeth? the old guy rolled his eyes and
took an early lunch...lol. he REALLY didn't want to
consider that. he really wanted to AVOID considering
that...he doesn't appreciate fine humour...
well...it's natural that anything that makes a task
that is known to be trivial into something requiring
effort, attention or expense is likely to be scorned
by a guy who is accustomed to the lavish power of cnc
and takes it quite for granted...things that ppl not
so accustomed may consider much more than 'a few lines
of code i thought would be mostly useless'....

so. if you ask me, cnc Is smarter, meaner, faster; it
does taste like chocolate AND it swallows!

i only have to endure ppl with bigger, meaner, faster
machines mocking my desktop cuz they are used to
better...lol
